Towada-Kitakami power trunk line
The Towada-Kitakami trunk line was constructed to transport power from the Shimokita Peninsula in Aomori Prefecture and as a major artery for the power supply network in the Tohoku area. With a total length of 300 km and 717 steel towers, it is one of the largest backbone transmission lines in Japan.
